Trade Obsessed...

I have to say that I was out of the loop for a long time! Then I discovered the hidden world of Etsy trading! There are many pros to the Etsy trade. These include: 1. You get an awesome item! 2. A sale on your record 3. Feedback 4. Exposure (through venues like "pounce" and "recently listed" when you renue) Whoo-hoo!

How to trade you ask?

Typically, I contact a shop keeper whose items I love! I let them know I love their shop and would like to trade if they would too. Sometimes I receive a response and sometimes I don't. Even if you do not want to trade, always write the person back (it's only polite!). Do not be discouraged if someone does not want to trade with you. There are many reasons someone may not want to trade; don't take it personally!

If the shopkeeper would like to trade, we try to match prices on an item. For instance, I pick a beautiful scarf from a shop for $40 (including shipping). The shop keeper then tries to match that price by choosing an item within $2-3 (including shipping) of that price.

Agree on the trade, then swap in the mail! Be sure to keep the other person updated as to when you ship, etc. This is all Etsy legal because they get their fee and we get to leave feedback. Trading the legal way also keeps you safer in case something goes wrong! You have a means to dispute the incident. However, I have never had a problem!

Here are some recent trades I made! I am so excited to feature these amazing artists!

Cameoko

Even more beautiful in person, these earrings are hand-crafted using vintage 1950's bark cloth coated with multiple layers of jeweler's resin.

Diana's Treasures

So fun! And...so soft! I couldn't resist this teal and grey looped stripped scarf. I had to wear it the day I got it!

The Nutmeg Tree

This beautiful clutch is perfect for a splash of color in Winter!

I couldn't be happier with my trades! I only hope my trade partners are satisfied too!
